The fly fishing season has started!

After winter, only memories and some snow in the Tatra Mountains remained. The last days of ski season on Kasprowy Wierch is a sign that it’s time for fly fishing in Podhale area 😎 The first trips and the first trouts caught are behind us. During the first weekend of May Zakopane and the surrounding area are under a tourist siege – the best escape from this hustle and bustle is a trip to the river with a fishing rod under the supervision of a guide. Contact us and book your tour 😉

PS. We have not increased prices compared to the 2023 season to provide you an adventure for every budget 🙂

Bialka river

Bialka is the river in Malopolska province. Sources of the river are in Tatra mountains at an altitude of 1075 meters from the connection of two streams- Rybi Potok flowing from the Polish part of the Tatras and Biała Woda flowing from the Slovakian part of the Tatras.  In the upper part Białka flows in a northerly direction and it’s a border between Poland and Slovakia. At the end Białka flows into the Czorsztyn-Niedzica dam lake.  We can begin our fishing adventure with this river in the Jurgów village where the Jaworowy stream connects with Bialka, not far from the local ski resort (upstream of this place fishing is prohibited). It is the only river in Poland with an alpine character along its entire length. Is very rapid, with big rocks in the riverbed. Water is crystal clear and very cold all year. It’s a unique and wild river with amazing aesthetic values. The main species are brown trout but you can also catch ,,cold-blooded” graylings. Bialka river is a place you must visit while being in the Podhale region!

Czarny Dunajec river

Czarny Dunajec river has its sources in Witow, small village at the foot of western Tatras. Begins from the connection of streams flowing from two valleys: Chocholowska and Koscieliska. No doubt, this river is one of the most beautiful and fishful in Podhale area. The character of the river changes several times along its about 40-kilometer course.

Upper part is typical fast and cold trout water full of big rocks and swift currents. Beautiful landscapes and low fishing pressure makes it perfect to enjoy loneliness.

Middle part starts from Podczerwone village where artificial watersteps were unfortunately built in Soviet Union times. This part is good for the beginners, a perfect place for learning the basics of fly fishing.

From Wróblówka village the river changes its character again and until the estuary becomes typical grayling water. Flows thru unchanged by human interference terrains and offers a lot of attractive fishing spots.

During the trip on Czarny Dunajec we provide amazing moments. It’s a perfect proposition for fishermans at any level of advancement who look for something new, far from popular and commercial fisheries.

Small streams

Small streams of Podhale area is an offer for those who want to try fly fishing in a very unique way. It’s the offer for lovers of wildlife, away from commercial fisheries. One angler, one guide and a small, wild river somewhere in the valley among spruce forests. The main purpose of the trip is not fishing for big trouts ( although sometimes you can be surprised with nice fish!)  but for aesthetic experience, to fish in the spots like from the cover of fishing magazine and just to forget about everyday life.

Because of technical difficulties of small streams we dedicate this adventure for more experienced anglers. Good casting skills are the key for success!

Slovakia

Slovakia offers great opportunities for fly fisherman. Mountains cover around 60% of slovak country area and that means a lot of mountain rivers, streams and lakes. Vah, Orava, Bela, Poprad, Hornad and tributaries are just some of the flagship slovakian fisheries and our guides know them all!  Immediate proximity to the slovak border with polish Podhale area causes that we visit Slovakia regularly with our guests. We also cooperate with slovak fishing guides. Huge trouts ( brown, rainbow ) and graylings from slovakian rivers is a dream of many demanding fishermans. Sixty-centimeter-long trout caught on the famous Vah river are a common occurrence.

We recommend slovakian trips mainly for people who already have some experience with fly fishing. Despite the fact that there are a lot of fish, they are not easy to catch. Fighting with big trout which is like torpedo, on the soft fly rod and not loosing it is a great challenge even for fishing masters 😎
